Code of Conduct & Social Responsibility
Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry Co., Inc. is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct, social responsibility, and legal compliance in all aspects of our business operations. We believe that a workplace built on respect, dignity, and fairness enables our employees to thrive and our business to succeed sustainably.
This Code of Conduct establishes the principles and expectations that guide our actions and decisions. It applies to all employees, contractors, and business partners, and reflects our commitment to:

- Protecting human rights and fostering an inclusive, discrimination-free workplace
- Ensuring health, safety, and environmental responsibility throughout our operations
- Conducting business with integrity free from corruption, conflicts of interest, or unfair practices
- Building trust with our customers, suppliers, communities, and stakeholders
Every member of the Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry team is responsible for understanding and adhering to this Code. We provide regular training to ensure these principles are embedded in our daily work and culture. Together, we create an environment where everyone can work professionally, safely, and with pride.
- Legal compliance
- To comply with all laws and regulations of the applicable legal systems.
- Prohibition of corruption and bribery
- To not tolerate any form of corruption or bribery and to not grant, offer or promise anything of value to a government official to influence official action.
- To not tolerate the same above to a customer in violation of their own policies to obtain an improper business advantage.
- Anti-trust laws and intellectual property rights.
- To act in accordance with national and international competition laws and not to participate in price fixing or market sharing with its competitors.
- To respect the intellectual property rights of its customer and others.
- Conflicts of interest
- To avoid all conflicts of interest that may adversely influence business relationships with customers and competitors.
- Respect for the human rights of employees or applicants for employment
- To promote equal opportunities for, and treatment of, its employees or applicant of employment irrespective of race, creed, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, national origin, military and veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.
- To respect the personal dignity, privacy, and rights of each individual.
- To not tolerate any unacceptable treatment of employees, such as mental cruelty, sexual harassment, or discrimination.
- To provide fair remuneration and to guarantee the applicable national statutory minimum wage.
- To comply with the maximum number of working hours as described in applicable laws and statues.
- To recognize, as described by legal statute, the right of free association of employees and to neither favor nor discriminate against members of organizations or trade unions.
- Human Rights Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry has zero tolerance for child labor, human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labor, and any form of human rights abuse. The following definitions apply:
- Child labor: Any work that deprives children of their childhood, potential, and dignity, and that is harmful to their physical and mental development. This includes work performed by children under the minimum age as defined by local law.
- Human trafficking: The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring, or receipt of persons by means of threat, use of force, coercion, abduction, fraud, deception, or abuse of power for the purpose of exploitation.
- Modern slavery: An umbrella term encompassing slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labor, bonded labor, debt bondage, and human trafficking. It refers to situations where individuals are exploited and cannot refuse or leave due to threats, violence, coercion, deception, or abuse of power.
- Forced labor: Any work or service extracted from any person under threat of penalty and for which the person has not offered themselves voluntarily.
- Health and Safety of employees
- To take responsibility for the health and safety of its employees.
- To control hazards and take reasonable precautionary measures against accidents.
- To provide training and ensure that employees are educated in health and safety issues.
- To maintain a reasonable occupational health and safety management system.
- Environmental protection
- To abide by applicable statutory and international standards regarding environmental protection.
- To minimize environmental pollution and employ continuous improvement initiatives toward environmental protection.
- To maintain a reasonable environmental management system.
- Open Communication
- To acknowledge and properly respond to customer inquiries regarding established Codes of Conduct from all parties.
- To maintain an open line of communication with the local community and government to express the latest in social or environmental issues.
- Supply chain compliance.
- To promote, enforce and actively seek evidence, among its suppliers and other business associates, of conformance with the elements of this Code of Conduct.
- To comply with the principles of non-discrimination with regard to supplier selection and treatment.
- Material sources and restrictions
- To provide evidence of material compliance with regard to national and international requirements, limitations and restrictions of hazardous substances (RoHS, REACH).
- To establish efforts of due diligence in avoiding the use of raw material in cast products from countries sanctioned by the US Government because of human rights violations (Conflict Minerals).
- Ethics Concerns and Right to Inform (Whistle Blowing)
- Any employee becoming aware of circumstances resulting in, or potentially resulting in, a violation of any of the above requirements or business practices is encouraged to report the circumstance without discrimination, retaliation, or repercussions for his (her) actions.
